Hi

I have recently lost my little westie Hamish, i know its still early days but cannot get used to not having a dog around and am looking at possibly getting another puppy in the spring/summer, i don't want to replace Hamish as he was my special little boy but want another puppy to give my love to as i just miss a dog so much and my life seems so empty that people on here think maybe getting another puppy will help me also get over losing Hamish.
I live in Portsmouth Hampshire but am willing to travel to get a well bred westie puppy from a good breeder as i don't want the same problems again like i had with Hamish as it was horrible for both him and me, if any breeders on here know of anybody that they could put me in contact with i would be very grateful, i have also posted to a couple of breeders on here privately but thought i would see if anybody else could help me, i would just like to make contact and perhaps put my name onto a waiting list for future puppies as i don't want 1 right this moment but possibly in a couple of months time.

Helen, hopefully there is someone involved with Westies on here, but I would advise your first port of call is the breed club.  You should be able to get details through the Kennel Club.  Breed clubs should only hold puppy lists from breeders who have ethical breeding methods and do any health checks required.  Have you thought of going to Crufts next month and visiting the breed club stand or the Discover Dogs stand for Westies?
