he has been in it for 14 yrs but its still sad por old wellard
I think I read the other day that there have been 3 different dogs playing Wellard since he first appeared.

Yes I think it said it was his mother and Grand-Mother if I remember correctly.

Goodness, I never watch Eastenders so I am pretty shocked the way that dog has been passed around. I know it is not real but it doesn't send a very good message does it.

http://minka-bsd.co.uk/index.html The breeder's and owner's website. Kyte is an agility dog. I do think it would have been too unrealistic to have Wellard live for much longer as "he" must be at least 15. Belgians can be quite long lived but even so..... I just hope it won't be a silly/irresponsible storyline yet again, be far better with a nice realistic one of an old dog simply being old and unwell and needing the vet one last time.

I was thinking exactly that when I read it Isabel!!!!
Bring back the days of Little Willie and Rolo, where they stay with their owner until they die!!

Rolo the Poodle was killed in an RTA & Ethel had Willie PTS

I think most of use end up having our dogs PTS at the end of their lives but the point is it was not because he was unwanted.
