Hello,

My partner and myself are looking to give a Staffy pup a loving home. We dont mind what sex the pup is as long as it is healthy. If anyone has pups ready to go, who know of any reputable breeders in the Northwest region please get in touch!

Many thanks

Tracey

Hello, thanks for your response. Myself and my partner have discussed this, and we would rather have a puppy to bring up from scratch, also this is something we would like to experience. Ive contacted a couple of people from the Kennel club website and also the Northwest SBTC but as yet i am awaiting for replies. Im hoping someone may know of any reputable breeders at the moment in the Northwest area with pups? It does seem quite difficult to get details, and i have only managed to find a few out of the whole of the Northwest! Maybe somone can point me in another direction? Many thanks in advance!

hello Traceyk. i think you really need to consider that you might need to travel a bit further for a good puppy. If you really want the right puppy that is. there is no point rushing to any old breeder in the northwest area! There are many reputable breeders but they might not be near you. have you checked on the search engine here on champdogs? Maybe the SBTC can help you. be patient because if you are patient you will get the best puppy :-)

Get in touch with Bob Whittall, I'll pm you some details.  (Though you may have used them already!)
Now although this is rescue, they may have young pups.
Have you owned Staffords before?
Out of interest, what makes you choose this breed in particular?

Hello that would be very helpful thankyou! We have rescued a staffy cross a few years ago, unfortunately he came to us without us knowing that he couldnt be left on his own. Not just leaving the house, but if you went upstairs he would become very distressed. He went to the right person in the end i believe, who could spend the time working through his problems. It was very upsetting, as he was fantastic dog in every other way, and a great character! I think the appeal about Staffys is their character and the fact that they have such a great temperament.

You should have the pm now Tracey :-)
I understand how difficult it must have been to have a dog with that level of separation anxiety, but it's worth remembering I guess, that Staffords very much crave human contact, so could in any event happen to a Stafford that isn't a rescue....
Would you consider that you now have the time to work through any similar problems?

Sorry I must sound like the Stafford police sometimes!!!  :-)

Did you rehome him?

Character & temperament are definitely the big pull factors toward owning one of these wonderful dogs :-)

There are many good breeders in the NW

Tracey
Have you tried contacting Merseyside Club  or Alyn & Deeside Club

Plus dont forget to ensure any puppys parents have been tested for L2 and HC (plus the pup itself if either parent has not tested clear)
