I have the opposite issue cant bath them for at least a week before a show so I am on alert for muddy patches at the moment

You have Schipperkes, I am jealous as they are such a cute breed but just couldnt do with the hair myself.

I will be there with my gsp. bit of a trek for us but my daughter wants as much practice in junior handling before birmingham city as that will be her first champ show. 

I'm asthmatic and find no problem with the schips as they moult in clumps which I just pull out, plus with my spinal problems from a neck injury I love the non grooming life that goes with that dense coat.  2 Baths a year after the girls seasons, hence today's work all 7 getting descented, no knots, the coat sits where it sits even my champion boy just gets my hands pulling his ruff forward and wiping the rest of his coat back and he's all done lol.  Dirt just brushes out but it is hard work getting them wet then takes an age to dry again afterwards so double shampooing first to get the coat wet second to clean it lol

Yup we are going.  I have just got back from SKC, my dads working tomorrow and they are out at george Micheal tonight, mum's driving us up.  I possibly plan on letting our junior handlers do all the work while I snooze in the car!

Agree the beardie was lovely, and the sheltie that won BPIS was also beautiful but my god wasnt it a long day.  Me and my dogs were shattered by the end of it.
