I was on holiday this week, and some of the kids were playing with my kids.
A ball, and Velcro pads on hands. The ball is thrown, and the person has to catch it with the 'velcro pad'
I am an athletics coach and have introduced games as a warm up, that have gone down a storm :-) . And think this would be a great game for them to play, I now just need to find out what they are called, and price them up, as need quite alot of the things LOL
So anyone any ideas what they are called, and what makes are best, as they need to be sturdy!!!!
Lea :-)

Sorry can't help with the name but these are sold all over the place so you shouldn't have too much problem finding them. I would think for better made ones Toys r Us would be a god place as they are sold at petrol stations and seaside shops very cheaply but may not be very sturdy!!!:-)

We have a couple of sets of those because my children absolutely love them!  Really easy for my 4 year old to do yet as challenging as you want it to be for the older ones!

oooh HG, give us a wave on your way past to Lea's!  You will literally have to drive past my house to get to hers!!  I'll make sure I have the flags out and flashing lights on!
Well, the wheels are in motion, no going back now!! :-o
By Lea (*****) [gb] Date 22.08.08 19:32 GMT
Thankyou :-)
The dodge ball I get them to play with soft Discuss!!!
They have to throw it at each other, if they hit the person, then that person has to throw it at someone else!!!!
I have 30 odd kids to get warmed up, so trying to think of orginal games.
I have done some corkers with them LOL

I don't know what the velcro hand things are called, but there is a game available in Hawkins Bazarr called 'butthead' I think, which is a velcro helmet and you have to try and catch the ball with your head. It looks like good fun, but possibly quite painful!! :-D
By Whistler (****) [gb] Date 26.08.08 11:14 GMT
Just bought one of these to take on holiday for a laugh at Sainsburys two sticky pads and two balls. Its like the Butt Head game two sticky balls and a velcro skull cap really funny.
No idea what they are called though!!
By Lea (*****) [gb] Date 26.08.08 11:43 GMT
LMAO, I can just see 30 kids running around trying to catch the balls with their heads!!!!
Maybe not for this excercise but thankyou :-)
Lea :-) :-)
