I've noticed the question of ring craft classes comes up on here quite often, I was wondering if it might be an idea for people that attend a ring craft would pop the details on here, location, times, days, any contact details, cost etc. So it is all in one place. A sort of ring craft directory, Just an idea!

This is a good website and has many ringcraft classes on there, though i know of a couple which i attend that aren't listed on the site, though its a good starting point.

Thank you, That's a helpful link, but some of the listing are just address of where the ring craft is held, no numbers or emails to contact for further information times and days ect.

When you hear of so many canine clubs closing due to lack of members or people willing to help I'm surprised more isn't done to publicise some clubs before it gets too serious.  For those of us who are web aware it's hard to appreciate there are still many people that do not realise the benefits of a website or who lack the technical know how to create one.

I searched for ages to find a class in my area but it's made more difficult by many being filed under names you might not guess and not cross referenced by location!

It would make sense to have a ringcraft/canine club page linked from some of the other dog sites like Dog World or Dog Biz (without being a member) or via places that offer schedule downloads.  I know the KC have a list of registered clubs but it isn't available on request.  Like LoisLane I found that the site mentioned was out of date.

I know the KC have a list of registered clubs but it isn't available on request.

KC emailed me back within 2 hours when i asked about breed clubs in the uk
And when I asked for a list of ringcrafts in my area and the 2 counties around me.

Shame they just dont publish them on the KC website, save having to request the info all the time. Might send it on the suggestions to them.

Oops - meant to say is only available on request!  That's what comes of typing whilst listening to loud music and singing!!

What a good idea!

If you haven't already, I think start a new thread and get this going. I cound't find a ringcraft anywhere near me, and ended up striking gold when mentioning it to a neighbour! Would have been so much easier if this sight had it's own little register! If you already have a new thread, please let me know so I can add the ringcraft we go to on there.
If you can find a path with no obstacle, it probably leads no where...
