Three days ago, my daughter Kim and I had to put down our 16 mo American bulldog, Missy. We are still shocked and devastated. We adopted Missy six weeks ago. Missy and Abby, (our 4 yr old Am bulldog ) seemed to get along fine, except for small spats over food, and territory claiming. Until Missy severed Abbys left paw almost to the bone. We returned Missy to the shelter where they informed us that she would have to be put down. We kneeled down at her side during the euthanization. It was awful. Missy let out this shrilling howl and she was gone. If anyone at all has any console please write.
