help needed, I have a ruby cavalier who never stops barking when she sees anyone, she is not aggressive but when off the lead she will run upto other dogs and people and bark continuously until she decides she has had enough.  I am worried that she may catch someones ankle someday soon, she doesn't mean it but any tips as she is driving me crazy, my other cavs have never done this.

try setting her up (which shouldnt be to hard to do) and bait her.  Like, have her more interested in a cookie, or tidbit, and when she isnt barking, give her a piece of it.  Have tried this with my Cher, and it has helped immensly.  The only time she ever really barks at people, is if they startle her now.  She still wants to say hello, and then she will turn her head at me, as if to say "are you not wanting me to jump up?  Wheres the cookie, cos Im not!"  when I wont let her. 

I suppose you have taken to training classes? Mind you, from my own exoerience ther @Ruby' is always more 'mouthy'than the other colours. LOL!!

Classes would be a very good start. Lois
