Don't think there should be any blood at this stage! Clear discharge only. I would get her to the vets asap.

tell her to take her to the vets!!
2 border terriers and 1 belgian malinois
If mine had been bleeding for six days i'd be going nuts!! Get her to the vets NOW!
sorry about all bad spelling !!!! i was in a rush when i wrote it ,ive been ringing her but no reply !!! hopfully shes at the vets x

Good to hear she has some puppies doing well - your friend should try to avoid leaving them at all for longer than a rush to the loo if it's possible - unfortunately these tragedies do happen. I remember with my litter last year I actually shut Ellie out of the room they were in if I wanted to have a shower - with the heat pads they weren't going to come to any harm from having 20 minutes away from her, and I didn't dare risk having her lie on them, though she was a super mum and hopefully would not have.

Im glad all her pups are ok, i didnt leave mine for 2 weeks without someone in the room - silly I know.. In a way I may have done a bit more harm than good being there because it was my bitches first litter and she really got disturbed when someone else was in the room (too distracted to focus on pups, thought cause i was watching her she was doing something wrong) so i set up a webcam from my laptop and watched it on my computer.
I had to run in a few times cause she had sat on them.. but i put pig rails around the edges of the whelping box and never had that issue again.. they just rolled to the edge of the box and abbie couldnt squash cause the rails were in the way

same here gundoggal ,i dont leave her but she dont like me watching and its her 3rd and last litter , but love the idea of the webcam tankyou !!!!
