I live but a spitting distance from Wootton Bassett, on the flight path to Lyneham, I have a baby soldier (19 and half) Royal Engineer son, I'm lucky at the moment he's out in Kenya building schools and houses for the poor out there, I watch the parades regularly and cross my fingers and pray

I were just thinking that about the "hoodies" lol!!
They should, i mean did you ever watch bad lads army, some of them found that so tough they couldnt even endure the full course... and they changed their lifes after that, so it proves it tough and i think more of that should be carried out, a lot more!

And i agree it would ruin our armed forces, could you imagine that!

> post go about hoodies

Sorry that was me I had to make a quick exit, looks like must have deleted  in my haste.

I said it might do some of the hoodies good to gain some respect. Not just for others, especially our soliders, but for them selves too.
But I don't think conscription is  good as it  would weaken our armed forces.

Yes I am very proud of him, to see him at the passing out parade in uniform and with rifle it was hard to believe that it was the same scruffy little git that can't even use the washer.
He's been in the Army for nearly 3 years now and only completed his final electrian training about 4 months or so ago, I just hope that he doesn't get posted somewhere like Afghanistan, but then I suppose that what all mother's wives girlfriends and everybody else in any way related to a service person hopes for.
