I got a terrible phone call off my dad last night saying that my auntie vera had passed away in hospital, i am so upset and finding this a really hard time at the moment, she lived down 'south' so i only saw her a couple of months ago, and the same last year and the year before etc, so was tricky, i am just so glad i got to see her a couple of months ago before it was too late :-(:-(:-(

Thanks, its at times like this that you realise that by pushing the boat out and making effort to see the people you love even when times are hard it really matters!!

Just so glad it happened because i would of really regreted not seeing her this year and just so glad she knew us (me and my sisters)

Sorry to hear your sad news, I'm so pleased you got to see her in person too before she passed, there is nothing more heartbreaking than knowing you didn't see someone. Wishing your family all the best at this very sad time.

Try to remember the good times when you last saw her, it's horrible when someone passes away & you're not there. I've lost 3 grandparents over the past 2 years & I live about an hour away from my old home & you feel so useless when you get that phone call, it's not even like you could do anything if you were closer.  You all need to be strong for each other over the next few weeks cos it's gonna be tough but if you look out for each other it will be easier than if you were on your own.  So sorry for you loss, try to keep your spirits up & remember we're all hear to offer you any support or a shoulder to cry on xx

It's been a sad time. I lost my Dad last week. He was quite elderly and had been poorly for a few weeks. I suddenly feel very lost and I miss him so much as I used to see him most days. Mum isn't coping well - been together for 61 years. I thought they'd be with me forever.

I just hope it gets easier i think its starting to hit me now and its not a nice feeling at all.

Funeral is not next week the week after :-(

So sorry Arched. Terrible to lose your parents whatever age you are.

Yorkies, at least no it is hitting you , you can begin to deal with the emotions a little more.

Love to you both
