Hi, just wondering if anyone has any ideas regarding my itchy shih tzus. I have 3 shih tzus and over the past 3-4 weeks 2 of them have been quite itchy. I've frontline comboed them, flea bathed them (no fleas present at any time). Recently changed them onto JWB Lamb and Rice from Royal Canin because I thought it might be food related. But their still nibbling and scratching. Dotty has a couple of sores from all the itching and to be honest i'm at my wits end.  They both started itching within a day or so of one another. Would be grateful of any advice. Thanks.

Try Dermacton spray or cream-a fantastic product, can't recommend it highly enough. You could also consider changing their food to a grain free one such as Orijen, also try evening primrose oil capsules.

hi helenmd, thanks for your advice where can i get the dermacton cream/spray and you mention the orijen food being grain free - do you think that its grains that might cause irritation? Thought it might be the source of protein what do you think? Thanks again for you're advice.

Dermacton can be bought from www.petnat.com.Orijen do a fish variety that might be worth trying if you suspect it is the protein source that could be the problem.Good luck!
