I'm about to register a litter for the first time and just want to check if you can use an aphostrophy in a name.
On the application help guide it say's punctuation marks may be disallowed. Has anyone else used an aphostrophy before?

Not much use I'm afraid. I just use my affix, and then whatever I conjure up, have never even tried punctuation marks, although I'm fairly certain that some of my dogs have them, somewhere in their pedigrees. If you are going to register online, it will let you know right away. I wanted to use one certain word in a pups name earlier in the year, and it said no, tried every variation I could think of, and it wouldn't accept. I eventually lost the will to live, and changed the name totally! But at least you will find out immediately if it's done online.
The hurrier I go - the behinder I get!
One of mine does have punctuation marks
So 'N' So
So in certain names they seem to allow them

Mine has an aphostrophy, we didn't have a problem.

I had problems doing this when using the online system
The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue.

I did mine online, only one of them had an apostrophy after the affix but it was allowed - I think it even gave me the option of where to put it

no i just use my affix and a name, i pick my litter names off a pedigree data base, i usually use German names
Paris,Leon,Anni,Kassi,Bekki,Urban,Gigi,Lardo,Gabi,Indi
Yep, there's an apostrophe in the name of one of my lad's littermates - registered around 8 months ago

Definitely allowed!
Why bite when a simple growl will do
i go on the inter net and go for the outlandish names, it seems the more strange they are the more like;ly you can keep the names you pick, but on the other hand i have added my grandkids names into it and they stayed as well like ruff n ready for chloe, reddy teddy of leeon
i have used ruff n ready for chloe and it was passed through, i think the more outlandish the name the more chance it would be used, i look on the internet for suggestions
