Just thought id share this.

We have been recently doing some research on the breed as its a dog OH and i would love and i have always liked them. It would be his dogs and as soon as he found out they are a ''gentlemans companion'' he was hooked. We have found a breeder we like the look of his stock and he has a good reputation, when the time is right we will contact him (wont be a year or so, and circumstances may change) Anyway. He was walking me to the bus station the other day as i was off to work, i got on the bus and he headed towards his friends for a guitar session. He saw a couple with a lovely white bitch, (we are wanting a white) so he went over to say hello and fuss her and talk to them as he has never met one in person unlike myself as my neighbour at my parents has a bitch and my friend had one. He was saying how lovely she was and asking about her and the guy ( abit of a rough'un ) says to him 'you can have her for twenty quid'!!! He was sensible and declined as we cant afford another dog at the moment (she would have needed her jabs probably chipping, spayed and the rest) and not knowing her history if she would get on with my 2 the rabbit kids rats etc etc. I dont think i would have been so rational and would have had her there and then, im terrible but i just cant resist. He musnt have cared much for her to offer her to a random on the street. His gf was pregnant so mike gathered that was the reason for getting rid. As we had been looking for the breed i would have taken her, but now i realise i want a pedigree girlie thats been baer tested and parents had there health checks, but all that would have gone out of the window if i was there. no wonder people flake when they see a litter.

Another thing what other health checks do EBT need, i read something about shunts like wolfhounds have but what are the symptoms and do they need heart/hip scoring. Would like to here from owners on exercise naughtyness etc

Was this guy really serious about selling the dog for £20??? Thats crazy. You know that many dogs are being stolen and also people being robbed and then the dog is sold off round the corner for any price so these gits can get themselves a hit of what ever they are on..

I haven't come across many EBT, though met one on a walk the other day who was also white and very friendly.
