Yes, I'm used to the fireworks from mid October to December but usually it's just idiots throwing them in the street and at each other.  Last night on my way home there was a group of lads hanging around and I didn't see that they had fireworks until I was too close to go any other way but past them.  Next thing there were fireworks raining down on my car and as I put my foot down to get away from them they chased me down the street chucking roman candles and bangers at me as they went.  It was actually quite scary.  Makes you wonder what's next???

How frightening CG.  I hope you reported the incident to the police.  You were very lucky you weren't hurt, but their next victim might not be quite as fortunate.

I'm really scared of fireworks.  I don't mind organised displays, but I'm really nervous of people getting hurt when setting them off.

Well I did think of reporting it to the police but I live in what the police call a "bad area" so it's a kind of a "what do you expect" attitude.  However, I maybe will give them a call as it was only 8pm and people are about at that time of night.  I think I got away with just a black soot mark on my car!

Goodness me!! Thats really scary!!! You should of ran the idiots over!! That would of stopped them throwing them!! How scary and dangerous, they need locking up!!

I think you should report it to the police to get it registered. I'd also report it to your MP. It's stories like these that need to be considered when they talk about firework legislation. How scary - good thing you weren't badly injured. Twits!

Poor you,it mustve been quite scary,Im glad you werent hurt or your car damaged too much.
Even if the police are no help as you live in what they call " a bad area" I would still go and report it and get it logged.
At least then you know you have done all you can to get someone to take action in case anyone else gets hurt in the future in a similar incident.

Hopefully if youre not the only one its happened too and other people have reported the same thing ,the police will have to investigate .

I count myself so lucky, as in a local park in our area (dorset) we now have for the first time a notice about NOT being allowed to use fireworks in there and that police and officials will be patrolling the area between now and fireworks night.

My MP is very sympathetic too.

I would have left and phoned the police straight away, problem is if you start trouble with them and they see your car later on in your driveway they then know where you live too
Best to get away safely and call the police and let them handle the dangerous lowlives with fireworks and who knows what else
