Tips on voting:
           Be aware using the search facility doesnt always bring up all the enteries for each class,you may be missing some pics by doing this.
           Slide show is a really good way of viewing entries (although it doesnt give you classes its a good first view, many of the pics look very different when viewed large)

Can i ask how it will be checked/monitored that people aren't voting for their own dogs and the photos they have added themselves?

Also how many photos can we choose from each group. Is it one or more?

Sorry for these questions as it would be great for this to be run fairly.

Hi Sue,

Everyone has a vote to use as they wish, it has never been nescessary to apply rules per se, this is a 'fun' show and I have always found members enter into the spirit of that and as yet I dont know of anyone who has voted for their own.That is not to say that anyone cant! Its not telephone voting They cant 'up' their votes by themselves.

Neither have I known it to be 'Eurovision' (friends/neighbours voting for each other )

I'm not entirely sure what you are getting at here? What is it particularly (other than the above?) that you feel is not or likely to be not fair??
~We have given ample time (and assistance) to those wishing to join
~Previously the votes were collated by one person, this year we have 5 seperate members responsible for different catagories to collate votes.

All I can say in answer to that is to reiterate my initial comments, Members have never needed rules as historically everyone has entered into the spirit of the Funshow for all to see and appreciate each other's dogs.

But welcome any suggestions you may have!
(there was an initial thread inviting suggestions from folk for this years show)

HuskeyGal i wasn't making a point at anyone in particular in relation to this.

I have been part of fun type things before where one or 2 have ruined it for others. That was all i was mearly saying. I understand that this has been done before on here and i wasn't around for that. I must admit that after reading what i put and then your response i haven't come across very well in what i was trying to say without it sounding like i was making any accusations.

Apologies for anything which i said which came across wrong or misunderstood.
I didn;t know if there were any other rules that had been applied that i wasn't aware of either. I don't want to be the one that makes a silly mistake..

Yes and no!   Looks as if Liv is giving everyone a bit longer because she has been busy and some folks haven't been able to upload their photos correctly.  Be aware that some have started sending in their votes though - well Toolz has!

Yes I make it the same.  We need more to get winners in the classes - otherwise we will have too many ties with just a small number of votes!  

Well hose me down with a tankard of tesco value something (that's how out of sorts I am ) but I've done it - voted that is. 

Confessions - tooooooo many pics and tooooooo many categories caused strains in places that I was unaware could be strained, stressed, torn and bloooootered but I really tried guys and wish good luck to everyone

In the meantime I'm off to lie down with a cold flanel and a hot dog (or three)

Sorry to hear that Teri - hope you are feeling better soon.  There are too many aren't there - perhaps that is one suggestion if anyone runs the show next time?!   Only one entry per class per person. 

It works fine if you do a class search - makes it much easier - it's just the photos that don't come up in that because of how their titles are done - I think the being able to search class by class makes the difference.

HUGE CONGRATS to all members for such beautiful pics
further HUGE CONGRATS to all those that have done a better job than yours truly of going through them
and MEGGA SIZED GOLD MEDALS to our judges because those wee souls have had to go over them all even more times than any of us

Sterling work folks but please, maybe next time, a rule for just one piccy per member per category because it's too difficult to go through so many and some that I really, really fell in love with eventually got lost in the mix.

Sorry to whinge - I currently have backache, headache, earache and toothache all at the same time so being a bit moany probably (and I have mid-season bitch flirting outrageously with her little brother through the baby gates - which TBF probably accounts for the worst possible pain )

You can use the search mode, simply enter each class name and number...but... not all the photo's come up.
Slideshow (I think) is great as there is no comparison for seeing all the pics in 'big' but it is time consuming...and doesn't show the classes.

Personally, Im not in the slightest miffed about amounts of pics or time taken,Part and parcel of the enjoyment of this for me, is perusing everyones dogs,not everyone on CD shows their dogs and so its nice to see those that I wouldn't normally get to see 'in action'. I'm loving the Agility photo's girls!! and the muddy dogs!! For me there is NO better 'waste of time' than idling away my time in the company of such fine canines!

You have to click on the button that says "info on" or something when the slideshow is running but slideshow does take a long time to get through. I went through the little photos first of all to make a shortlist of my favourite contenders for each class and then clicked on those particular photos in the slideshow to get a larger view to help me find my final choice. There are so many great entries that it was really hard to decide.
