My Son Gareth has a lovely Pug she is his baby her name is Pat she is a very spoiled girl aged two.
We are her main carers also she is with us most of the time as Gareth lives at home but mainly out working etc.. our dilemma is we have been chatting to him about having her spayed as although she is a nicely bred girl he has no intentions of breeding from her........... now after him finally saying yes he feels its a good idea as she is also really bleeding very heavily when in season and loves to sit on our knee ;O and also we have our other dogs as well anyway just spoke to Vets to book her in and have been told there is a high risk invloved due to her breathing etc.. with the aneasthetic she isnt a dog who has problems breathing but still now I am worried because sttrictly she isnt our dog are we taking a big risk we all love her so much she is sa character.some of you will know my main breed is labradors
Any advice please ?
