I have a pregnant bitch whos due to whelp a week on Monday, just wondered what the fluid intake should be she is now 36kg is it 50ml per kg???  also she is looking a bit pale around her eyes her gums are still nice and coloured and her coat is shining and her nose cold and wet otherwise in superb condition and does not appear to be ailing anything just wondered what your thoughts were???

If she's drinking well and not looking dehydrated, pull up some skin if you can and see if it settles quickly, then shes probably okay.

Why are you concerned about her eyes do you susspect anemia, if so a quick trip to the vet would not go amiss.  A check up at this stage wouldnt hurt anyway so I would have your vet look her over to put your mind at rest.

Mine aren't due for a few weeks but I'm watching her like a hawk.

Thanks for the info just checked her skin and its fine but I shall keep an eye on her over the next day or so and then will take her for a check up if I am still concerned.  The anaemia thing is my boyfriend he thought she looked pale around the eyes but when reading about anaemia ( I have a question posted on health) I dont think she has it, but thanks for the advice and good luck with your girl!!!!!

we will both be burning the midnight oil on here shorty.  Hope you've got a good supply of matchsticks for your eyes, you're gonna need em.
