Just wanted to tell everyone that we survived our first show!!
Newark and Notts was quite cold but we went prepared and really enjoyed it.
Our boy was second in his first breed class (only started with junior), first in AV puppy utility, and reserve AV utility group. Not bad for our first outing we think.
We met a lot of friendly people, not just in our breed.
Looking forward to the next one, when we've had some sleep!!

It's always good to get the first outing under out belts - whether the pair or either handler or dog!  I've never lost the butterflies on the way in or the adrenalin rush at the end of a class LOL.

Well done on doing so well with your young lad, he appears to have made quite an impact.

well done (claps). as you know it was our first show too. zhaan got 3rd in Any variety hound and Reserve in Any variety puppy. I was not expecting much at her first show so I am really pleased.
but, oh so cold in the halls. had to go outside to defrost lol. but it was a good day and we enjoyed it. glad you had a good time too

Thanks Terri, It was both our firsts. First show for us and Charlie.
We couldn't have asked for a better out come for our first show, just getting the experience was why we were there, so coming home with rosettes was the icing!!

Hi Reesy, Charlie sort of behaved!!!!!!
He still wasn't happy about his teeth but we got there in the end. He was jumping up quite a lot while he was supposed to be standing in the first class but he is only 6 months and 1 week and he was having a ball so the excitement came through Luckily he moved around the ring fantastic and let the judge put his hands on him no probs !!!!
I know we have a long way to go and not all our shows may be as good with regards to the results but we enjoyed the day and the friendly people who did mention the "Facey" thing then went on to win too, so it doesn't always go on who you know!!

I've just started a new thread as Charlie's breeder has told me I have got one of his placings wrong, he actually got a better one than I had put!! LOL

Well i will see you at BUBA then, first champ shows can be a little scary but there not too bad i only been showing for six months and still think why am i doing this when i go in the ring lol
