hello

does anyone have any personnel recommendations for dog friendly accommodation hotels and b+bs particularly?
(need to accept 4 well behaved border terriers at least wont even attempt finding somewhere for my Rottweiler as well)
also need child friendly! start to feel like a leper when looking, think i am asking for the earth.
always seem to find cottages o.k.

Travelodge welcomes dogs and children :-D and are very cheap too (you pay £10 per dog)  There were also smoking and non-smoking rooms available when I booked last year ;-)
Life is what happens while you're making other plans...

Check this previous thread.  It's in Frome, Somerset and quite close to me which is why I've remembered it, but can't holiday there!  It's come up a few times on CD lately so if you do a search or google it you'll get to their website.

stayed at travelodge a few years ago and the dogs were free, but if its now £10 per dog it rules them out im afraid

thanks

Travelodge will only accept two dogs any way - I stay in them several times a year but do often only get charged for one even when I have the two, it depends who is on reception.

just a thought but haven't tried it recently. When our children were young we used to use hoseasons - a few years ago mind. and their brochure would give info on dog and child friendly places. we aim to do it again next year but with dog.

hope this helps - would be interested to know for future reference

We took our four dogs (Pyrenees, saluki lurchers, American cocker) to the following fab cottage this year and have already booked for next year too: http://www.littledumpledale.co.uk/

All your dogs, including the rottie, would be more than welcome!

Hi, this one is a cottage in South Lakes - it is genuinely very, very dog friendly!  There'll be no problem with your 4 BTs AND your rottie, though suspect your child will have to be well behaved ;-)
