
Hi Lainey, I'm sorry, I don't think there is a policy that covers routine spaying, or routine vaccination worming or flea treatment either for that matter, neither will an ordinary policy cover pregnancy and whelping. There is a policy that covers breeders for emergency care due to pregnancy and whelping, but it is extremely expensive and the policy must be in place for a long while beforehand.
It seems to me you have either got to try and come to some financial arrangement with your vet, or cancel the op until you have been able to save the money.
If you are on benefits, the PDSA can perhaps help, and Dogs Trust, do a deal too.
